Short post, exciting news! With the generosity and support from so many people, including a match of $10/necklace from @Data_Jack, Skepchick’s ‘Surly Amy’ beat last year’s record and raised enough money with her Surly Women Grants to send EIGHTEEN women to TAM2012!

Among the recipients are Sheree Ko, Tawnya Mendosa, Taylor Proctor, Sarah Moglia, Kathryn Saloom & me! Help bring more women to TAM with a ‘You Can Make a Difference‘ purchase.

Also, if it weren’t for the overwhelming generosity of three warm-hearted people, I wouldn’t have been able to afford to travel to TAM at all & I’m thrilled to say that I’ll be able to thank them each in person in one month.

Want to know how to get more women involved in science and skepticism?
Just start helping them to get involved.

So happy you got one of the grants, Emily! Amy’s program is wonderful and I’ll bet we can make possible even more grants.
