Murder in Medicine

There is news from Arizona, the title of the article says it all:
In other words, doctors can intentionally keep critical health information from pregnant women and can’t be sued for it.
There is no justification for this bill [SB1359]. Keeping information from a patient for reasons of personal opposition to procedures that may follow is WRONG.
Imagine if your Jehovah’s Witness doctor chose to keep information from you for a life-saving blood transfusion treatment? Or if your doctor withheld information, fearing that you would refuse life-support, and you became a bed-ridden vegetable. These aren’t slippery slopes, folks- this is the proposed reality with bills like this one in Arizona, and it must be stopped.
If your religion is radically opposed to some form of medical treatment, then don’t be in the field of medicine. Please, write your Senators today stating your opposition to such absurdity, and share/post/tweet your position against this Bill, SB1359.

Imagine an anti-choice doctor reading the following excerpt from the Hippocratic Oath:
Most especially must I tread with care in matters of life and death. If it is given to me to save a life, all thanks. But it may also be within my power to take a life; this awesome responsibility must be faced with great humbleness and awareness of my own frailty. Above all, I must not play at God.
Now imagine a pro-choice doctor reading it:
Most especially must I tread with care in matters of life and death. If it is given to me to save a life, all thanks. But it may also be within my power to take a life; this awesome responsibility must be faced with great humbleness and awareness of my own frailty. Above all, I must not play at God.
What’s the difference? The pro-choice doctor would save the life of an ailing pregnant mother and abort an ectopic pregnancy, while the anti-choice doctor would let the woman die. I repeat: If your religion is radically opposed to some form of medical treatment, then don’t be in the field of medicine.

THIS JUST IN: Use Birth Control? You’re Fired!
The ACLU just announced another Bill being pushed in AZ, HB2625: this one would let ANY employer fire workers if they used birth control and let them refuse to provide insurance coverage for it. Put a stop to this newly proposed law- sign the ACLU’s petition and contact your Senators and let them know you don’t want a Bill like this in your state.
