I chose to be abstinent til I was 19. I was never abstinent-til-marriage, just abstinent-til-ready. I learned abstinence-only. I was lucky to have a mom who filled me in on my many questions...and the internet. and decide what's right for them. That's what education is; it's not what to think, but how to think. Let them consider for themselves. If you want to be abstinent, fine. You have the right to make that choice, but sexually maturing teens ought to know all the options (cont.)
