Taping and Floating Along

It’s been a month since logging on to the administrator profile for this site, and I’m greatful that my contributors have been holding it together while I’ve been out. Between packing and moving into my first home, I’ve unexpectedly lost my job. My time as of late has been spent scurrying to the local Habitat for Humanity and Home Depot stores, making drywall repairs, painting, and cleaning spackle off my skin; at least I have something to focus on.
Another concrete item in my life, I’ll be attending the American Atheist conference in Austin! Without having received a Surly Grant from Skepchick’s Amy, I could have driven there, but would be waiting outside the event like a lost puppy. If you would like to apply, or sponsor other people to attend this or other secular conferences, please visit Amy’s website, Surly Women’s Grant. In addition to that news, there are several audio recordings of blogs started in my phone, and this week I’ll be fleshing them out and publishing them. Here’s to a new year, more stress, and lots of mess!
